This song came to me almost 15 years ago, a few days after my beloved uncle passed. At the time it felt like the song wanted to comfort his family and encourage them to enjoy their lives fully and embrace the beauty and mystery of being a human here on earth. The song continued to grow over the years and it took a long time before I felt satisfied with the production. There are so many instruments in this track--including a beautiful Oud near the end of the song, and I'm playing a bamboo flute in some parts. The song is dedicated to my uncle and his family, and is also an offering to all of us lucky enough to experience life on earth. Deep gratitude to my cousin Beth Byrne for offering her beautiful painting for the cover art.
